The Bingham Center for Teaching Excellence
Join us for our Grand Opening on Thursday, September 12, 2024! Festivities begin at 4:00pm in Cowgill 102, with a talk by Dr. Corbin Campbell, followed by a reception and showcase in the Center itself, on the bottom floor of the Library.
Founded in August 2023, the Bingham Center for Teaching Excellence serves as a catalyst for evidence-supported teaching practices and engaged learning at Transylvania University. The Center staff offers a variety of resources and opportunities for faculty to deepen and enhance their teaching practice.
Funded through the Bingham trust, the Center supports faculty grants that advance teaching and the meaningful integration of technology that supports students' learning and future careers. The Center promotes professional development for faculty and teaching staff and fosters presentations and publications relating to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL).Â
